Enjoy an afternoon of tea, tutu couture, life-size puppet characters by Angela Beasley, fall clothing and much more during this event presented by the Hilton Head Dance Theatre at 1:30pm at Sea Pines Country Club. 9/29-10/24, Man of La Mancha. One of the most popular Broadway shows of all time and winner of five Tony Awards, Man of La Mancha is a play within a play, performed by prisoners as they await a hearing with the Spanish Inquisition. Now-9/3, Arthur Milton. Savannah native and artist Arthur Milton will present an exhibition of portrait painting at Gallery S.P.A.C.E. in Savannah. The exhibition is a compilation of works over the past 20 years and includes large scale celebrity, family, and presidential images in this solo exhibition. Now-9/9, Summer Group Exhibit. The Summer Group Exhibit of gallery artists will be held at Picture This Gallery on Hilton Head Island. Now-9/12, There He Stands. A collection of oil pastel paintings by Chris Clayton will be on exhibit at SoBA Galleries on Boundary Street in old Bluffton. His passion for history and a particular interest in the War Between the States lead him to create this series of new work. An opening reception will be held on Sunday, August 8th from 3-5pm. 9/3-10/12, P.A. Kessler Gallery Show and Book. ARTworks presents a gallery show of work by botanical watercolorist P.A. Kessler. Mon 9/13, Photography Meeting. Richard Ellis, a photojournalist who has been nominated three times for a Pulitzer Prize will be the guest speaker at the Photography Club of Beaufort. 9/13-10/24, Past Presidents Exhibit. The Society of Bluffton Artists (SoBA) presents the “Past Presidents” exhibit. Fri 9/24, An Evening of the Arts. The Island School Council for the Arts celebrates its 30^th Anniversary of An Evening of the Arts. Now-9/5, HarbourFest. Enjoy the high-energy performance of Shannon Tanner every evening Monday through Friday at 6:30pm and 8:00pm at Shelter Cove Harbour. Troubadour Shannon Tanner blends the sounds of the ‘60s with sing-a-longs and his original ballads during his family-friendly performance. Fri 9/3, Summer Song. The Hilton Head Choral Society presents Summer Song. The concert will feature Gershwin tunes lyrical waltzes by Richard Rogers and a tribute to MGM movie musicals. Sun 9/19, Ron & Natalie Daise – A Gullah Evening. Fripp Island Friends of Music presents a concert by Ron and Natalie Daise – Gullah Stories & Song at 5pm at the Fripp Island Community Center.
